This easy yarn craft creates cute DIY yarn wall décor for any room in your home. It’s an easy project that is perfect for beginners.
As a child, I remember doing macrame with my mom. Hours were spent crafting and creating memories. Macrame and yarn crafts have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom taught me to knit soon after my first daughter was born. I remember her coming to visit and help out with my new baby while my husband was away for training. Since then, yarn crafts have been one of my favorite projects.

Start by measuring and cutting your yarn. The length of your yarn is up to you. The longer the yarn, the longer your frayed ends will be. I measured my yarn and cut it at 28 inches. Cut 36 pieces of yarn in total. For mine, I cut 18 pieces of each color.
The next thing you’ll do is to start tying your yarn around the embroidery hoop. Start by tying on the yarn on just one side. If you try to do all the yarn at one time, you’ll end up with a mess of tangles.
Once your yarn is tied on the first side, you’ll stretch it across to the other side of the hoop and tie it on. Make sure to separate the yarn strands to make sure they aren’t tangled or overlapping.
